Core License, per Core License

Software license that is technically tied to a processor core, for example on a server, PC, or other computer. There are occasionally problems with such licenses when multi-core processors, or virtual machines or cloud based systems are used. The increasing prevalence of such multi-core computers and servers, virtual machines and cloud systems required changes to the license model.
